The place where good things find a second life
Inspired by the traditional “Merindar” — a wooden box placed at the gate, where people used to leave food and water for passers-by — Comunidar is a concept space designed to redefine the way we perceive the act of giving and receiving: electrical appliances, books, home décor items, and more.
Launched in 2023, the project continues to travel through different spaces and communities, encouraging circularity and shared responsibility.
Comunidar is the place where we promote the reuse of functional electrical appliances, books, and gently used home décor items instead of buying new ones — an effort to reduce excessive consumerism and encourage mindful living.
Created at the initiative of designer Alina Vîlcu and supported by ENVIRON, Comunidar was launched as an experimental project encouraging people to give and receive pre-loved items.

The concept stand continuously travels through different spaces and communities and also exists in a virtual form through the Facebook group Comunidar Online.
