When you unplug a device, you connect to responsibility

We all have things at home we don’t use anymore, but we refuse to throw away. An old phone, a spare plug, an iron that only works if you hold it crooked.

Not because they’re valuable, but because we don’t know what to do with them. That’s how drawers get full and boxes hide the digital leftovers of the past 10 years.

But there is a better way than “maybe I’ll fix it”, “maybe I’ll give it away”, “maybe it still works”.

#RecycleTogetherRecycling isn’t about getting rid of stuff. It’s about giving it a new purpose

Every year, the world generates over 62 million tonnes of e-waste.

And only 1 in 5 gets collected and recycled. The rest? Burned, abandoned, thrown carelessly, becoming invisible ecological bombs.

ENVIRON is here to make recycling easy, clear, and human. No complicated words. Just simple acts that actually matter.

  • Electrical equipment contains toxic substances (lead, mercury, chromium) that can pollute the soil, air, and water if not properly managed.
  • A device thrown away does not simply “disappear” – it leaves its mark on the environment around us.
  • Every old electrical device is full of resources that can be reused (gold, copper, aluminum, iron, plastics).
  • Some components can become part of a new product, so recycling also means resource recovery and reducing pressure on natural resources.

where?Where do we recycle?

Find the collection point closest to you. Locations may vary, but the act remains the same. Whether you are in a city or a small commune, you have a place to recycle properly.

ENVIRON has built one of the most extensive collection networks in Romania, with over 4,800 active points in stores, schools, institutions, town halls, and public spaces. All you have to do is choose the nearest location and take the step. For small devices — you have special boxes. For large equipment — you can request home pickup

FAQ

  • Users must ensure separate collection in containers provided by the sanitation service operator, clearly labeled and placed in appropriately designated spaces for waste they generate at home.
  • When purchasing a new product, you may request from the distributor that they take back WEEE under a “one-to-one” scheme, free of charge, under the same delivery conditions as the new product, if the old one is equivalent and fulfilled the same functions as the new one. Very small WEEE can be dropped off for free in designated spaces at electronics retailers with at least 400 square meters selling area.

No. Please do not open, cut, or remove components. Devices should be handed in intact — trained operators will handle sorting and dismantling safely.

Certainly. Actually, we encourage doing a general clean-up and submitting everything at once.

Not at all. We only need the device itself, not its history.

Some ENVIRON campaigns offer symbolic prizes or vouchers, but the most important gain is regained space, peace of mind, and doing the right thing for your community.

They are transported safely to authorized recycling centers, where they are sorted, dismantled, and processed. Recovered materials (plastic, metal, glass) go back into the economy.

Because many contain toxic substances (mercury, lead, lithium etc.) that can contaminate soil and water. Also, throwing them in the trash means losing the valuable materials inside.
