As a structure aiming at the transfer of responsibility due on importers and manufacturers, the Environ Association provides a wide range of services to its partners:
Take-over of manufacturers’ responsibilities regarding the organization, financing and operation of the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) management system at a national level with a view to attaining the targets under HG 448/2005
Collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) from households in 3 ways:
- Free take-over of used equipment from the store when purchasing a new one;
- Take-over of used equipment from the municipal collection centre;
- Organization of collections from the population on fixed dates;
- Endowment of municipal collection points with adequate infrastructure – containers of various sizes and volumes depending on the location/site’s specificity;
- Planning, devising and conducting population information and educational campaigns in order to stimulate selective collection and understand the benefits of recycling;
- Preparing and implementing the action plan aiming at attaining waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection, reuse, recycling and recovery targets;
- Conducting population information and educational campaigns aiming at selective collection;
- Reporting with environmental authorities, ANPM, and the Ministry of Environment
- Waste and reporting balances
- Specialized consultancy regarding environmental issues, legislation and regulations in force
- Logistic support for the entire WEEE flow – collection, transportation, temporary storage, recovery/recycling, and non-pollutant disposal
- Specialized software platform for the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) integrating stores, retailers, collectors, carriers, and recyclers
- Preparation of waste transport documents, including transportation for the Regional Development Agency (ADR)
- Call centre – permanent telephone support both in B2C regime, and in B2B regime
- Accessible database with real time report generation
- Support for preparing the documentation of registration with the National Environmental Protection Agency
- Process audit and control in waste electrical and electronic equipment
- Representation and lobby at the level of Romanian and European institutions, comitology
